Generators

Generators: Reliable Power Wherever You Need It
Access to a reliable power supply is a fundamental requirement on almost every construction site, outdoor event, emergency response operation, and remote industrial project. Where mains connection is unavailable, impractical, or simply too costly to establish, generators provide the self-contained electrical power that keeps operations running — from powering hand tools and site lighting through to supplying entire temporary site compounds, large-scale events, or critical backup systems where an interruption to supply cannot be tolerated.

Modern site generators are available across an enormous range of output capacities, from compact 2kVA units suited to powering a handful of tools or a small welfare unit, through to large industrial generators producing several hundred kVA — enough to supply a substantial temporary facility or act as primary power for a major infrastructure project. Selecting the right output capacity for the application is essential. An undersized generator running continuously at or near its maximum load will consume more fuel, wear faster, and risk interruption at critical moments, while significant oversizing wastes fuel and increases unnecessary cost.

Diesel remains the dominant fuel type for site and industrial generators, offering excellent fuel efficiency, broad availability, and the durability needed for continuous or semi-continuous operation in demanding environments. Stage V compliant diesel generators meet the latest emissions standards, reducing particulate and NOx output and making them acceptable for use in environmentally sensitive locations and urban sites where air quality is a consideration. For shorter duration or lower load applications, petrol generators offer a more compact and lightweight alternative.

Hybrid and battery-backed generator systems represent a growing segment of the market, combining a conventional generator with an energy storage system that allows the engine to operate at optimal load and switch off during periods of low demand. This approach can dramatically reduce fuel consumption and emissions on sites where power draw is variable — a significant advantage on longer contracts where fuel costs accumulate.

Acoustic enclosures are standard on most modern site generators, substantially reducing noise output and making them far more acceptable in residential areas, healthcare environments, and event settings where noise is a concern. Automatic mains failure systems provide seamless switchover to generator power in the event of a grid outage, making them an essential component of any critical power resilience strategy.

Our generator range covers output capacities from 2kVA to several hundred kVA, across diesel, petrol, and hybrid configurations to suit every application and project duration.
